DESIGNED TO TAKE THE SOGGY STRESS OUT OF BURPING
After the birth of our little girl, as new parents we were overwhelmed by all the products to buy to care for our baby.
We had stacks of muslin cloths on an endless cycle of burping, drooling, leaking and washing. We’d change our clothes two or three times a day when all the dribble, milk and vomit became too much for the soggy muslin and it soaked through. Into the wash they went as we constantly reached for fresh muslins to keep us and our little girl dry.
As busy new parents, we did our best with the products available. Time went on, our little girl grew up and we forgot our whinges about the lack of a suitable product. Then our baby boy came along and the cycle of mess and washing began again. There had to be a better way!
TRIED & TESTED
Determined to find a sustainable solution, we set about designing and making the product we wished existed.
The ultimate burp cloth had a lot to live up to. With quality, reliability, function and sustainability at our core, we had a long list of ‘must-haves’ thanks to our years of whinging and washing soggy muslins!
Absorbency and reliable waterproof protection were top of our list. To end the soggy washing cycle for new parents, we needed to be confident that what we created would soak up every drop of dribble, milk, formula and vomit and lock it away.
After months of testing, pouring, wringing and blotting, we developed the perfect combination of stay-dry fabric layers to absorb up to 200ml of liquid – keeping baby’s delicate skin and parents’ clothes dry.
GOOD FOR BABY & KIND TO THE PLANET
It also had to be eco-friendly and sustainable, a choice we’re passionate about. We sourced the finest organic cotton and bamboo, making our Parent Protect Burp Cloths luxuriously soft, cushioned, antibacterial and hypoallergenic to protect sensitive newborn skin from irritation.

Next, we tackled function. New parents have got enough on their plates without having to juggle, swap and wash muslins all while taking care of their burpy bundle. So we made our burp cloths stay put with a non-slip grippy underside and easy-pop underarm strap. So you can quickly pop it on and keep it on, worry-free and dry while you get on with parenting.
So, with a dash of determination to take away the soggy stress of burping for new parents, the Parent Protect Burp Cloth by Avi Bear was born. We hope you love it as much as we do!
